This pair of hands, one of the holders of our fate during this pandemic, might they be the hands of a trusted expert, or the hands of a mad scientist? Are these the hands of someone who is motivated by fame and recognition, powerful leadership, power and control, or integrity and call of duty to a higher cause? Our hands reveal our inner workings and motivations. Let’s take a probing look into the hands of someone that can work to do great good or perhaps slip into a darkness causing psychological harm and economical destruction.
“It’s the balance of something that’s a very difficult choice, like how many deaths and how much suffering are you willing to accept to get back to what you want to be, some form of normality, sooner rather than later?” ~ Dr. Anthony Fauci 5/4/20 on CNN
The best way to understand how hand features play out in people is to observe the owners in how they express themselves. Nearly every day for the past many weeks we’ve had the opportunity to watch on live TV, peruse articles from pro or against viewpoints by the press, and troves of perspectives and background searches provided by anyone with a social media account. We’re lucky that Dr. Fauci can’t talk without his hands and that there are many close up images of his hands from every angle to be found with a quick search. What piqued my interest early on was how this doctor grinning with excitement reminded me of meteorologists describing record breaking weather phenomenon with glee appearing nearly oblivious to the human suffering also present.
It might be difficult to write this without some personal bias. As most of you all know, being in “stay at home” mode for a couple of months takes a toll. I want to know who the people are that are calling for this economical shut down (affecting my hands-on work enormously), and what motivates them. So if I seem a little tin foil hat or matching features up to match thoughts bouncing in a stir-crazy mind, please understand.
Let’s go through the features of his hands and see what combinations come together to give us insight into the motivations behind the sometimes confusing words of Dr. Anthony Fauci. Is he motivated by goals of successful career progression versus power and wealth? Is he self reliant or easily swayed by others? What motivates us to choose particular paths in life is something I’ve been studying for several years in the features and language of our hands.
A couple of things stand out quickly. One being his large fingernails. Typically large nails are on people that work patiently with their hands and can be seen frequently on carpenters, dentists and many craftspeople. The length of a nail expresses how much time a person puts into their thoughts and actions before hand. A short nail can be a short, quick temperament whereas long can show thought and planning before taking action. The wider a nail relates to more physical energy being used, while narrow is on people who prefer mental versus physical energy to accomplish their goals.
Here we see long nails showing a willingness to patiently go over the details and not instantly be reactive in most situations. The nails appear a bit longer than they are wide. They are not narrow which would relate to nit picking, yet they are not overly wide which would show strong physical reactions. To me, his nails show a person that enjoys spending quality time in his field and is physically active expressing his mind. He can be patient and control his reactions.
His ring fingernails are a shape called ‘spatulate’ in hand analysis. They are narrow at the base and wider at the tip. This shape is found on restless people and the fingers found show the area in life it represents. The ring finger is about how we express ourselves in an outer way. Our appearance. Its features show how we respond to being noticed and observed by others in how we perform and present ourselves. This nail shape here shows a greater need or pressure on themselves to present themselves well. They actively care about their appearance and others opinions on how they come across. Presentation is important.
Next I noticed the smooth curve of the setting of the fingers on the palm. It’s often referred to as ‘cast-off’ and what is noted is if any of the fingers sit too high or too low on the palm. Often times the little finger sits low and the index can be too high or too low as well. The index and middle usually are about level with each other. What is considered as balanced and normal is a nice curve with the little finger and index fingers only slightly lower than the middle two digits. It’s formed by a mix of genetics and childhood environment. A childhood where one is encouraged to be their best, feel secure, and able to build self confidence are among the factors involved in allowing this cast off. It is rare to find.
Knotty knuckles show a philosophical, organized thinker and smooth knuckles are on those who give little resistance to incoming data. The top knuckles relate to the orderliness of mind and the bottom is regarding the material or physical aspects. Dr. Fauci’s bottom knuckles fall somewhat into the former category and the top knuckles into the latter. This shows a quick receptive mind that analyzes data before putting it into action.
Another feature that my own studies have developed is how tight and binding in appearance are the interdigital creases that appear at the knuckles. People with these indentations and deep creases are very selective and take a look at a number of options and opportunities before making a selection. This is present in all of Dr. Fauci’s fingers. Whereas, some of us, leap at the first opportunity with the mind set of not missing out on something, others wait for several choices to come along before making a decision.
In the photos it is noticeable that the head line extends to nearly the edge of the palm. This is known as the Sydney Crease which I’ve mentioned in several of my past posts here. People with this feature are usually able to think in a focused state of concentration for a long period of time. They are also known to wear blinders and have tunnel vision, especially when involved in something that has attracted their interest. In a press meeting Dr. Fauci distanced himself from the viewpoints expressed by Pres. Trump while dismissing other viewpoints. Yet, recent reports coming from France suggest the virus was around 2 or 3 months earlier, at least mid to late October.
“The way it happened is that after he made that statement [suggesting China could have revealed the discovery of a new coronavirus 3 to 4 months earlier], I told the appropriate people, it doesn’t comport, because 2 or 3 months earlier would have been September. The next time they sit down with him and talk about what he’s going to say, they will say, “By the way, Mr. President, be careful about this and don’t say that.” But I can’t jump in front of the microphone and push him down. OK, he said it. Let’s try and get it corrected for the next time.” ~ Dr. Anthony Fauci 3/22/20 Press Meeting
The head lines and the life line are major flexion creases that are attached at deeper layers into the tissue. Typically the beginnings of both of these creases are found in the same location on the thumb side of the palm under the index finger knuckle. A good portion of us have these two lines forming separately instead of together appearing as one crease, but it is more common for them to be close together or merged completely. In Dr. Fauci’s hands these lines are very separate from each other in their beginnings. This separation is found on people who are independent thinkers, not overly concerned what other’s think about them, and often act on their own. If part of a team, they prefer to be a leader rather than a follower.
The heart line runs under the fingers with the end ranging from rising or ending under the middle finger to rising or ending under the index finger. Rising to the middle finger is often found on secretive or private people. When it comes up to the edge of the palm it relates to a person that gets close to others and shows their feelings. A curving heart line tends to represent a good-natured person. A deep line shows strong, deep feelings and not superficial emotionally. This is what we see in the right hand. The color fades out as it passes under the middle finger, which can show that even though by nature this is a person that gets close to others, at this time in life that energy is pulled back and reserved.
In the left hand the heart line also fades just as it passes under the middle finger and then joins a crease that is part of the Girdle of Venus. This short crease relates to a pleasure in being able to take pride in something. Sometimes I refer to it as a person’s own “carrot” out in front always pulling them forward. They get a lot of self satisfaction when they achieve their goals and feel they’ve done a good job.
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” C. S. Lewis
